Broadcast Correspondent
The Role: Live Channel USA is an emerging broadcast media group seeking ambitious, high-energy Broadcast Journalism students to join the Radio Network News (RNN) desk as Correspondents. This is a unique opportunity to provide "on-the-ground" reporting and sidebar stories for a network launching across multiple US regional markets.
You will have the opportunity to work alongside veteran network anchors to produce high-authority news bulletins that bridge the gap between international headlines and US regional audiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Research and write 30-60 second "correspondent reports" on assigned global and regional topics.
- Record high-fidelity voice tracks for integration into our automated news cloud.
- Collaborate with the RNN production team to ensure audio meets professional broadcast standards.
- Deliver time-sensitive content to meet daily broadcast deadlines for our news blocks.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a Journalism or Media program (Medill/Northwestern preferred).
- Strong vocal presence with the ability to deliver news with authority and clarity.
- Access to recording equipment
- A "self-starter" mindset—you are comfortable working in a fast-paced, digital-first newsroom.
