Bi-Lingual Event Staff (Chinese/English & Spanish/English)

We are seeking dependable, proactive, and community-oriented Event Staff to support on-the-ground outreach at local events across Los Angeles County. This field-based role requires strong communication skills, professionalism, and the ability to engage diverse communities while representing our programs.

Candidates should be comfortable working independently, handling event setup and breakdown, and assisting residents with information and basic tech support. This role is best suited for individuals who are reliable, adaptable, and experienced in fast-paced, public-facing environments—not those seeking occasional or passive event work.

Events will be on Saturdays for a minimum of 5 hours per event.

Tentative dates: 5/16, 5/30, 6/13, 6/27, 7/11, 7/25, 8/8, 8/22 (September and beyond pending)

Event Staff Responsibilities:

  • Working under instructions of Event Manager. 
  • Unloading equipment from trucks and setting up a booth for events. 
  • Attending needs of event participants and ensuring excellent levels of customer service.
  • Educating event participants /residents about the program
  • Tracking participants’ preferences, metrics, and media campaigns through surveys. 
  • Troubleshooting technical issues with i-pads and other electronic devices. 


 

Brand/Event Ambassador Requirements:

  • Bi-Lingual Spanish or Chinese is a must
  • Must pass a background check and have a valid Social Security number
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable access to a vehicle
  • Able to commute throughout Los Angeles County and occasionally Riverside County, depending on event and client needs
  • Flexible availability, including weekends, weekdays, and occasional evening events (schedule will vary based on event calendar)
  • Comfortable working independently in field-based and event environments with minimal supervision
  • Prior experience in a customer service or event environment is strongly preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Friendly, approachable, and professional demeanor
  • Adaptable with the ability to prioritize tasks and handle fast-paced environments


 

Candidates must able to commit to schedule event dates in advance and maintain reliable attendance.


 

Pay rate: $27 per hour
