Director (V) of Radiologic Technology

Position Summary

Under the direction of the Dean of Career Education, the Director of Radiologic Technology will be responsible for developing quality educational programming, achieving and maintaining state accreditation, and developing industry partnerships.

The Director is responsible for marketing, implementing, and administrating the Program to private, public, and educational sector partners. Proficiency in curriculum design, evaluation, instruction, program administration is needed.

Additional responsibilities include: working with industry partners, representatives of community agencies, administration, faculty, counselors, staff, research analysts, and instructional and student services areas to ensure the success of students participating in the program, and the College’s Career Education programs.

 

Typical Duties:

Typical duties may include, but are not limited to:

  • Developing and maintaining collaborative working relationships with industry partners, instructional areas, and college staff.
  • Assessing the needs of our industry partners.
  • Developing and preparing program goals and reports.
  • Planning, organizing, and directing program activities.
  • Developing and maintaining credibility with employees, bargaining units, and external constituents.
  • Maintaining currency in the field of knowledge and related technology to effectively perform responsibilities.
  • Developing staff assignments and schedules to meet our industry partners’ needs.
  • Managing all administrative, budget, compliance, and reporting aspects to establish and maintain JCERT accreditation.
  • Participating in College accreditation efforts and Program Review.
  • Writing and submitting required reports in a timely manner and evaluating program needs.
  • Working effectively with individuals and groups.
  • Analyzing situations accurately, identifying appropriate solutions, and taking action.
  • Developing and maintaining a strong service orientation.
  • Attending/chairing appropriate conferences, workshops, program training, and staff/committee meetings as directed.
  • Hiring, supervising, training, and evaluating staff.
  • Developing, authorizing, maintaining, and monitoring expenditures and program budget in conjunction with and subject to review and approval by the Dean of Career Education.
  • Overseeing qualitative and quantitative data collection and analysis and program evaluation.
  • Performing follow-up studies and evaluating program services.
  • Providing regular updates to appropriate college administrators and constituency groups.
  • Engaging with community partners to develop opportunities for students.
  • Developing, administering, managing, and overseeing budgets.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.

 

Categorical - This position is contingent on continued funding and satisfactory work performance; may be extended, on an annual basis, to future fiscal years.
