Content Specialist Intern

The Content Specialist Intern is responsible for executing high-quality content for clients and supporting SEO initiatives. Their role is to ensure that the strategy set by the Strategist and Content Specialization Leader is translated into effective, optimized content that drives results. The Content Specialist Intern is responsible for producing content, applying SEO best practices, and contributing to a smooth and high-quality client experience through their work.

 

Key Responsibilities of the Content Specialist Intern:

  • Content Execution: 
    • Create and deliver high-quality, SEO-optimized content across all assigned client accounts
  • Execute on content tasks based on direction from Strategists and Content Leadership
  • Ensure all content aligns with client goals, brand voice, and user intent
  • Produce content such as:
    • Blogs
    • Landing Pages
    • Product Pages
    • Emails
    • Banners
    • Pop-ups
    • Etc
  • Follow established benchmarks to maintain consistency and quality across all deliverables
  • Revise and optimize existing content as needed
     

SEO Implementation

  • Conduct keyword research to support content creation
  • Apply on-page SEO best practices to all content
  • Support organic growth efforts through content execution
  • Use tools such as GA4, GSC, AirOps, and SEMRush to inform decisions and improve performance
    • Leverage AirOps workflows to efficiently execute repeatable content tasks across client accounts
    • Follow established workflows to support content research, creation, optimization, and publishing within a single platform
    • Maintain a working understanding of how workflows are structured in order to execute tasks accurately and troubleshoot when needed
    • Utilize AirOps to manage the full content process, including research, performance analysis, optimization, writing, and publishing to WordPress
    • Create and maintain Brand Kits for assigned clients that clearly define brand voice, tone, author persona, and writing guidelines to ensure consistency across all deliverables
    • Incorporate AEO tools and recommendations when relevant to improve content visibility in LLM search environments
       

Task Execution & Workflow Management

  • Execute tasks within Teamwork with a clear understanding of the scope and expectations.
  • Ensure all assigned tasks are completed on time and meet quality standards
  • Communicate with the Content Specialization Leader or Account Manager if clarification or support is needed
  • Maintain strong time management between billable and non-billable work
     

Collaboration

  • Work closely with other Content Specialists to maintain consistency across accounts
  • Collaborate with other specializations (Social, Ads, Analytics, etc.) when needed
  • Support integrated, holistic (360) marketing efforts

Self Management

  • Maintain ownership of assigned work without prompting
  • Stay organized and aware of all assigned tasks and deadlines
  • Actively apply feedback to improve content quality and efficiency
