Robotics Field Engineer

August Robotics is an international startup building application-specific robots to automate business workflows. We have offices in Australia, the US, Germany, China, and Hong Kong, and are backed by leading Asia-Pacific VC investors. 

 

We design and deploy robotic solutions across construction, exhibition, and industrial environments, and are continuing to scale our global operations.

 

THE ROLE

As a Robotics Field Engineer, you will be responsible for deploying, operating, and maintaining our robots across customer sites throughout the United States.

 

This is a highly hands-on role that sits at the intersection of engineering, operations, and customer success. You will work directly with physical robotic systems in real-world environments, ensuring successful deployments and a strong customer experience.

 

Core responsibilities include:

  • Deploy and operate robotic systems on customer sites across the US
  • Provide on-site technical support, troubleshooting, and guidance to clients and partners
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs both in the field and at the workshop
  • Train customers on how to use and operate our robotic systems
  • Monitor robot performance and ensure successful execution on job sites
  • Collect customer feedback and work with internal teams to improve product features
  • Plan and manage deployment schedules and ensure operational readiness
  • Support a wide range of technical and operational tasks as needed

 

YOUR SKILLS

What we are looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Automation, or a related field
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
  • Hands-on mindset with comfort working on physical hardware systems
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work directly with customers
  • High level of ownership and accountability
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to perform light physical activity

 

You must have:

  • Eligibility to work in the US and a valid driver’s license
  • Willingness to travel extensively across the US (up to 2 to 3 weeks per month)
