Level 2 Support Technician
Internship/Part-Time
This is a part-time position in the St.Pete area.
THE ROLE:
TriOrb Solutions seeking individual as a Level 2 Support Technician. Primarily candidate will help:
- Provide technical support to clients for Windows and Mac computers over the phone and via remote connection.
- Experience with servers, networks, VOiP and related technologies a plus.
- Perform repairs to client computers in our shop (Bench work).
- Provide exceptional customer service through good troubleshooting skills, communication skills and follow up skills with every customer.
Qualifications: The ideal candidate would have a minimum of 2 years work experience in a customer-oriented environment. Demonstrated customer service skills required, including the demonstrated ability to handle challenging customers. Excellent communication and organizational skills required. Must be able to multitask numerous issues simultaneously. Technical aptitude/knowledge and exceptional troubleshooting skills are highly valued.
Responsibilities:
- Provide fast and friendly tech support to end-users, IT Managers and C-level executives
- Support Microsoft Windows desktop technologies
- Consult with clients and offer guidance on technology use and best practicesResponsible for detailed documentation and follow-up with clients
- Communicate the need for escalation promptly
- Support Microsoft Windows desktop and server technologies
- Consult with clients and offer guidance on technology use and best-practices
- Typical Week: 65% Managing help desk, 20% server/network support, 5% training/meetings
Qualifications & Soft Skills:
- Mandatory Certifications: Certified A+, Network+, or Security + (Or willing to complete in 1st 90 days)
- Working on Associates or Bachelor’s Degree, IT related field preferred, or equivalent experience
- Well-rounded Microsoft desktop technology experience and user support. Experience supporting the following: Expert Windows XP/7/8. Exposure to Windows server technology, Active Directory and common network protocols.
- Valid driver license and insurance with reliable transportation. This position will require infrequent local travel.
- Drug-free and non-smoker. Smoking is prohibited at all client sites and main office.
