Summer Part-time ASL Instructor
Inspire the Next Generation as an American Sign Language (ASL) Instructor!
Location: 2245 Foothill Dr, Vista, CA 92084 (In-Person)
Position Type: Part-Time | Summer Session (June 8 – July 31)
Pay Rate: $30–$50 per hour
Learn2Code.Live is looking for energetic and dependable ASL Instructors to lead engaging, in-person classes for K–12 students this summer session. This is a meaningful opportunity to introduce children to American Sign Language and Deaf culture — with all curriculum and lesson plans provided.
This current session runs from June 8 to July 31, with strong potential for future sessions and continued teaching opportunities beyond the summer.
Whether you’re a student, recent graduate, or professional with a passion for ASL and teaching, we’d love to hear from you! No formal teaching experience? No problem — full support are provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach interactive ASL lessons using our ready-to-go curriculum
- Build a fun, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
- Adapt instruction to different ages and learning styles (K–12)
- Manage classroom behavior and keep students engaged
- Communicate effectively with parents, teachers, and staff
- Provide brief updates on student participation and progress
- Arrive on time and fully prepared for each session
Qualifications
- Friendly, patient, and passionate about ASL and education
- Proficient in American Sign Language (beginner to advanced welcome)
- Enjoys working with K–12 students
- Dependable, punctual, and professional
- Previous teaching or tutoring experience is a plus (not required)
- Reliable transportation to Vista, CA (92084 area)
