Marketing Internship

Great Expressions Dental Centers (GEDC) is looking for an enthusiastic, creative, and detail-oriented Summer Marketing Intern to join our growing marketing team. This is a great opportunity to gain hands-on experience supporting a large, multi-location healthcare organization as we strengthen our marketing foundation, improve patient engagement, and enhance the support we provide to over 200 practice locations.

As a Summer Intern with GEDC, you’ll play a key role in helping our team stay organized, responsive, and effective, while gaining exposure to a wide range of marketing disciplines including digital, local, brand, and operations.

We offer a flexible schedule for students who may be taking summer classes or balancing other commitments.

 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist in the development and execution of company-wide marketing initiatives and promotions 
  • Support communication and responsiveness to our network of 200+ practice locations, ensuring timely, professional, and helpful follow-up 
  • Help organize marketing requests, assets, and workflows to improve team efficiency and visibility 
  • Monitor and engage with social media channels, identifying trends and opportunities for relevant content 
  • Assist in creating and editing marketing content (social media posts, emails, internal communications, and basic website updates) 
  • Support local and national marketing efforts and event coordination across the Great Expressions Dental Centers footprint 
  • Assist with reputation management, including monitoring and responding to online reviews and ensuring accuracy across directory listings 
  • Maintain internal print storefront, reviewing and approving orders to ensure alignment with brand standards 
  • Help track and report on marketing performance metrics using Excel or other tools 
  • Utilize AI and content tools (e.g., ChatGPT or similar platforms) to support content development and efficiency 
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, field teams, and other internal stakeholders to support marketing initiatives 
  • Support general marketing operations, including asset management and occasional inventory coordination 

Qualifications / Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program (Marketing, Communications, Business, Public Relations, or related field; majors or minors welcome) 
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Curiosity and eagerness to grow in digital marketing (SEO, websites, social media, etc.) 
  • Familiarity with major social media platforms 
  • Comfortable working in a Microsoft environment (Outlook, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint) 
  • Basic Excel skills (data entry, sorting, simple analysis) 
  • Detail-oriented with a strong sense of accountability 
  • Ability to take direction, learn quickly, and proactively problem-solve 
  • Positive, team-first attitude with a willingness to support wherever needed 

Nice-to-Have (Bonus Skills):

  • Experience with social media content creation or management 
  • Exposure to SEO, Google Analytics, or website CMS platforms 
  • Basic design skills (Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, etc.) 
  • Familiarity with AI tools or content generation platforms 
  • Experience communicating with multiple stakeholders or supporting customer-facing initiatives
