Junior Financial Advisor
About the Role
We are seeking a driven, relationship-oriented professional to join our team as a Junior Financial Advisor in Ann Arbor, MI. This role is designed for individuals who are committed to becoming a lead advisor and building a long-term career in wealth management.
This is not a purely analytical or support role. The right candidate will be actively involved in networking, developing relationships, and contributing to new client acquisition, with a clear path toward building and managing their own book of business.
You will gain hands-on experience working alongside senior advisors while developing the skills and relationships needed to grow into a client-facing advisory role.
Key Responsibilities
- Support senior advisors in delivering comprehensive financial planning and client service
- Actively network and build relationships within the community to generate new client opportunities
- Develop and maintain a pipeline of prospective clients
- Participate in client meetings and contribute to strategy development and recommendations
- Prepare financial plans, analyses, and client presentations
- Maintain accurate client records and ensure compliance with firm standards
- Take ownership of personal business development goals with the expectation of building a book of business over time
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
- Strong desire to become a financial advisor, including comfort with business development and networking
- Proven ability or willingness to build relationships and generate new business
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Highly motivated, self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
- Progress toward or interest in pursuing CFP®, CFA, or similar certifications is a plus
- Experience working with or understanding the needs of business owners is a plus
