DISD Area Coordinator
Position: DISD Area Coordinator
Reports To: Chapter Director
Type: Hourly Part-Time (20-25 hours per week)
Description: The role of Area Coordinator is to mobilize ministry through Party Club and Good News Club (GNC) outreach. With DISD open to after school programs, there is now a diverse population of more than 70,000 students in grades K-5 across 150 campuses within the 384 square miles that comprise Dallas ISD. The ideal candidate will have an evangelistic zeal and deep desire to see children reached with the Good News of Jesus Christ. The Area Coordinator will be an outgoing self-starter who possesses the ability to build new relationships to establish ongoing ministry partnerships in their assigned area.
Definition: Party Club – a one time (60-75 minute) evangelism event for children; Good News Club (GNC) – an ongoing, weekly evangelism and discipleship opportunity for which parents register their children
Duties to include:
- DISD Area Coordinator will be responsible for the Dallas ISD area
- DISD Area Coordinator manages and coordinates the GNC and Party Club ministry in the assigned area.
- DISD Area Coordinator will be responsible for making contact with DISD elementary schools and churches proximate to DISD elementary schools to establish CEF programs and recruit volunteers who will serve each campus and cover each campus ministry in prayer support
- DISD Area Coordinator will develop and manage relationships with:
- DISD elementary schools
- Evangelistic Churches
- Apartments and Community Centers
- Other locations where children gather within DISD
- DISD Area Coordinator will be responsible for managing church relations in the assigned area
- DISD Area Coordinator will be trained to teach GNC and Party Club curriculum
- DISD Area Coordinator will develop local GNC and Party Club teams/volunteers to assist with clubs
- DISD Area Coordinators will be responsible to teach Clubs if no volunteer team is available
- Other duties as assigned by the Director
Qualifications:
- Authentic Christian witness and strong Biblical worldview
- Professional appearance and demeanor that demonstrates Christian character
- Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills
- Outgoing personality to build relationship with schools, churches, and GNC and Party Club locations
- Ability to teach and train volunteers
- Working knowledge of MS Office
- Must pass Child Protection Policy background check and sign Workers Compliance Agreement
- Must affirm CEF Statement of Faith
