Elkins Kalt is seeking a legal assistant with at least 2+ years of legal administrative experience to join our team.  This role will work closely with assistants, attorneys and other team members to support various firm practice groups.  Our ideal candidate will be a proactive self-starter with the desire to contribute positively as part of a team.

 

About the Role

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Sending out correspondence, invoices and other documents by email, mail, Federal Express, and messenger service 
  • Preparing, formatting, and editing documents using MS Word, Adobe Acrobat Pro, and Excel
  • Scanning, filing, organizing, and saving client files within the firm's document management system
  • Other projects as may be assigned, including creating binders and indexes, printing documents, data entry, etc.

 

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Meticulous attention to detail and follow through skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Technical proficiency with Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat Pro, including document formatting and editing, updating headers and footers, inserting and deleting pages, etc. 
  • Strong work ethic, with the ability to follow instructions accurately and with minimum supervision
  • Ability to maintain strict client confidentiality and professionalism
  • 2-3 years of legal or other relevant professional services experience highly preferred

 

Additional Details

This will be a full time on-site position in our Century City office, Monday - Friday, from 9:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.  

The anticipated salary range for this role is between $60,000 - $75,000, depending on experience.
