We are seeking a motivated and organized undergraduate student to join the Jarosova Lab in the Department of Chemistry at Colorado State University. The lab focuses on research at the interface of bioanalytical chemistry and neuroscience, with particular emphasis on neurodegenerative diseases like Alzheimer’s disease and attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. This is a great opportunity for students interested in gaining hands-on research experience, particularly in zebrafish models, in a supportive and collaborative environment. The initial appointment is for Summer 2026.

Required Job Qualifications
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Enthusiasm for learning about chemistry, neuroscience, and animal model research.
Preferred Job Qualifications:
Experience working with zebrafish or other aquatic species in a research setting.
Familiarity with fish colony management, including feeding, breeding, and tank maintenance.
Previous lab experience (e.g., solution preparation, data analysis).
Interest in neurobiology, chemistry, or interdisciplinary research.
Essential Duties:
Assisting with behavioral and neurochemical experiments using zebrafish models.
Managing the zebrafish colony, including feeding, breeding, and maintaining tank systems.
Preparing solutions and maintaining lab supplies.
Conducting data collection and analysis for neurochemical and behavioral studies.
Electrode preparation, development of electrochemical methods.
Supporting the development of new tools and techniques, such as biosensors or novel electrode materials.
