Part-Time Student - Industrial Engineer - Milan, IL (120161)

As a Part-Time Student - Industrial Engineer for John Deere located in Milan, IL, you will:

 

  • Provide engineering support to various warehouse departments and operations
  • Support Continuous Improvement (CI) opportunities and projects to drive improvements in key business metrics
  • Analyze data and create reports or visualizations to support operations
  • Develop apps and tools to aid real-time decisions and shop-floor efficiency
  • Leverage AI and flows to minimize repetitive data entry and calculations

What Skills You Need

  • Ideally you will be pursuing a STEM-related degree; others may apply
  • Must be registered as a full-time student at a local accredited university
  • Graduation date of December 2028 or later
  • Cumulative GPA of 2.8 or above
  • Available to work 16-20 hours/week during the academic year
  • Available to work 35-40 hours/week during the summer semester
  • Must be able to commute to the work location on scheduled workdays 

 

What Makes You Standout

  • Knowledge of computer programming languages such as SQL and Python and reporting tools such as PowerBI to analytically interpret data
  • Skill in using computer aided design and/or engineering tools such as AutoCAD or Minitab
  • Ability to build applications including low-code no-code with tools like Ignition or PowerApps  
  • Experience using engineering tools, systems, and databases
  • Self-starter with high level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Organizational and project management skills
