Summer Camp Activity Leader
The Boys and Girls Club of East Providence is seeking high-energy candidates to plan and facilitate engaging activities with students in grades K-12 at our 2026 21st Century Summer Camp located at Martin Middle School.
We are specifically looking for applicants who can facilitate afternoon activities in a particular interest area, such as Dance or Sports. We are excited to hear about your interests and what skills you could teach our students!
Camp will run Mondays through Thursdays from July 6th through August 13th, from 10:00am-2:00pm. Training dates in June are TBD.
POSITIONS AVAILABLE:
- Mondays through Thursdays 9:30am-2:30pm - 2 positions available
- Mondays & Wednesdays 9:30am-2:30pm - 1 position available
- Mondays & Wednesdays 12:00pm-2:30pm - 1 position available
- Wednesdays 12:00pm-2:30pm - 1 position available
Additional hours may be available to cover for staff absences as needed.
KEY ROLES (Essential Job Responsibilities):
Program Development and Implementation
- Supervise school-age youth during various programming such as gym time, STEM, art homework help, and meal time
- Support and collaborate with other youth development staff in ensuring the safety and well being of youth
- Monitor, report, and resolve behavioral situations with members
- Organize and lead high-yield activities with members
- All other childcare related tasks as requested by the director on duty
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- May participate in special programs and/or events
SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
- Minimum one year of previous experience with youth
- High School diploma, college credits preferred
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Good leadership skills, including an understanding of group dynamics.
