[MarComm Center] 1- year Mascot Performer (Campus Spirit Promoter)

About the Role 
Are you energetic, enthusiastic, and love to entertain? The University of Utah Asia Campus is looking for a spirited individual to bring our beloved mascot, Swoop, to life! As Swoop, you will represent the U Asia Campus at various events, including sports games, campus activities, community engagements, and promotional events. This role is ideal for someone who loves to perform, connect with others, and embody school spirit. 

Responsibilities 

Perform as Swoop at various campus and community events to promote school spirit and engage with students, staff, and visitors. 

Participate in campus events, sports games, festivals, and other appearances as needed. 

Create fun, interactive experiences for fans, including dancing, high-fives, photo opportunities, and more. 

Assist with mascot-related marketing, including social media campaigns, videos, and promotions. 

Maintain the costume and ensure it is clean and presentable for each performance. 

Collaborate with event coordinators, marketing teams, and other performers to deliver exciting, memorable experiences. 

Qualifications 

Strong enthusiasm for school spirit and a passion for engaging with diverse audiences. 

Previous experience in performing, dancing, or mascot roles is a plus but not required. 

Ability to perform in a full-body costume for extended periods. 

High energy, positive attitude, and outgoing personality. 

Must be reliable, punctual, and able to commit to a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and occasional holidays. 

Physical stamina to endure various movements, including jumping, running, and dancing. 

Comfortable working in a warm environment while wearing a mascot costume.
