Analytical Chemistry Intern
About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Analytical Chemistry Intern to support research and development activities in a fast-paced laboratory environment. This role offers hands-on experience in analytical testing, method development, and data analysis while working alongside experienced scientists on projects focused on developing and improving biopharmaceutical products.
What You’ll Do
- Perform routine analytical testing and report results, including techniques such as:
- HPLC (UV/MS/CAD detection)
- Karl Fischer (KF) titration
- Osmolality testing
- UV-Vis spectroscopy
- pH and conductivity measurements
- Microplate fluorescence detection
- Assist in developing and qualifying analytical methods (based on experience level)
- Support documentation efforts, including drafting and revising:
- Protocols and reports
- Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Maintain accurate and compliant laboratory records to ensure data integrity
- Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on ongoing R&D projects
What We’re Looking For
Minimum Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in:
- Chemistry
- Chemical Engineering
- Biochemistry
- Or a related scientific discipline
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior laboratory experience
- Experience with HPLC is a plus
Skills:

Technical Skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

- Experience with file management systems and cloud tools (e.g., SharePoint, OneDrive)
- Ability to accurately handle and analyze data
- Basic understanding of cybersecurity best practices
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Work is conducted in both laboratory and office settings
- Regular use of laboratory equipment and computers
- May lift up to 15 lbs
- Requires standing, sitting, walking, and occasional bending or reaching
- Must have close vision and ability to focus on detailed work
