Bilingual (Mandarin) Human Resources Assistant

Position Summary 

The Human Resources Assistant supports daily HR operations, including recruitment, onboarding, employee records management, and compliance. This role plays a key part in ensuring smooth HR processes and a positive employee experience. 

Key Responsibilities 

1. Recruitment & Hiring Support 

  • Assist with job postings on various platforms 
  • Screen resumes and coordinate interviews 
  • Communicate with candidates regarding application status 
  • Prepare offer letters and onboarding documents 

2. Onboarding & Employee Records 

  • Facilitate new hire onboarding and orientation 
  • Maintain and update employee files (digital and physical) 
  • Ensure all required documentation is completed and compliant 

3. Payroll & Benefits Support 

  • Assist with timesheet collection and payroll processing 
  • Help employees with basic benefits inquiries 
  • Coordinate with payroll/benefits providers as needed 

4. Compliance & HR Administration 

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws 
  • Support audits and maintain HR documentation 
  • Track employee certifications, licenses, and required trainings 

5. Employee Relations Support 

  • Serve as a point of contact for general HR questions 
  • Assist in handling employee concerns and escalating when needed 
  • Support performance review processes 

6. General Administrative Duties 

  • Schedule meetings and maintain HR calendars 
  • Prepare reports and maintain HR databases 
  • Assist with special HR projects as assigned 

Qualifications Education & Experience 

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred 
  • 0–2 years of HR or administrative experience Skills & Competencies 
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills 
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 
  • High attention to detail and confidentiality 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment 
  • Strong writing and oral speaking skills in Madarin and English
