High School Theology Teacher

Central Catholic High School in Toledo, Ohio, with over 100 years of graduates, forms young men and women into disciples of Jesus Christ. We are seeking a Theology teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. The ideal candidate is a practicing Catholic committed to Catholic education and student formation.
 

Responsibilities include:
● Designing and delivering engaging instruction across Theology courses
● Differentiating instruction and using data to meet diverse student learning needs
● Guiding students in understanding Church teaching, Scripture, and Catholic tradition
● Fostering faith development, moral reasoning, and respectful discussion of theological topics
● Integrating prayer, reflection, and opportunities for spiritual growth into the classroom
● Encouraging students to connect faith to daily life, service, and decision-making
● Collaborating with colleagues, including Intervention Services, on department and school-wide initiatives
● Maintaining clear, positive communication with students, families, and administration
 

Qualified candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree, preferably in theology, catechetics, religious studies, or a related field; experience in education is preferred. Candidates should be practicing Catholics and demonstrate a commitment to the mission of Central Catholic High School.
