Writer Editor Contractor
Writer/Editor (Memoir + Storytelling) — Immediate & Ongoing Projects
Stories to Last | Remote | Contract
We help people preserve and share their life stories in beautifully crafted, narrative-driven formats. We’re looking for a writer/editor who can jump in on an immediate project—with opportunities for ongoing collaboration in memoir writing and editing.
Immediate Project
Craft and edit a Rotary District coffee table book featuring stories from multiple clubs.
You’ll ensure:
- Clear, consistent, engaging narrative while maintaining a unified style.
- Cohesion across entries (this is a consistency-first project).
- A professional, timeless, editorial tone.
Project rate: $1,000 (includes crafting, editing, and revisions).
Future Collaboration
After this project, we’d love to work with you on:
- Memoir writing and editing with individual clients.
- Shaping authentic voices into compelling stories.
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in both writing and editing (memoir or narrative nonfiction preferred).
- Deep understanding of authentic voice and narrative structure.
- Curiosity and personability—you’ll interface with clients directly, representing our mission of care, active listening, and support.
How We Work
You’ll collaborate with our founder, project manager, designer—and directly with clients. We value collaboration and independence once you’re aligned. Ask questions when you need, then dive in.
How to Apply
Send us:
- Your portfolio (writing and editing samples).
- A short note on your experience with narrative storytelling and memoir.
- Your availability to start.
If stories are your passion, we’d love to hear from you!
