 Shields Valley School District – Clyde Park, MT

The Shields Valley School District is seeking a dedicated and passionate Junior High Teacher to join our team in Clyde Park, Montana. This is an exciting opportunity for an educator who is committed to fostering a supportive and engaging learning environment for students.

Position Details:

  • Location: Shields Valley Elementary School – Clyde Park, MT

     
  • Start Date: August 13, 2026

     
  • Employment Type: Full-time
    • The position will require teaching core subjects to 7th- and 8th-grade students.

       
  • Salary: Competitive, based on experience and district salary schedule

Qualifications:

  • Valid Montana teaching certificate with appropriate elementary endorsement (or ability to obtain certification)

     
  • Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education or related field

     
  • Strong instructional skills and knowledge of effective teaching strategies

     
  • Ability to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment

     
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

     

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with state standards

     
  • Foster a supportive and positive learning environment for all students

     
  • Utilize differentiated instruction to meet the diverse needs of learners

     
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and support as needed

     
  • Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and administration to support student success

     
  • Maintain a well-organized and structured classroom environment
