LETRS Student Researcher Assistant
The Student Researcher’s primary responsibility will be to administer virtual assessments at the Language, Literacy and Learning Lab in the School of Education for the LETRS Study. Specifically, students (1st and 3rd grade) will be assessed on early literacy skills in three 30-minute remote sessions. Our research team will provide the necessary training prior to assessment implementation. Completion of all training sessions is required before you are cleared for assessment. Other tasks include audio recording assessment sessions, scoring, and possible data entry.
Background checks will be required. Availability in some mornings during the fall and spring quarters of the week are required. Applications will be accepted until 6/19/26. Interviews will be held virtually in July. Trainings will take place from August to September.
Qualifications
Required skills: Great communication and interaction skills. Experience working with children (formal and informal considered). Strong organizational skills and the ability to complete tasks accurately. Experience using Excel. Must be comfortable and confident reading aloud to school children. Must have a minimum 3-hour free block in your schedule. Desired skills: Students from Education, Psychology and/or a related field are preferred but not required
