Location: SafeSplash Swim School – Arlington / Grand Prairie
Experienced Pay: $17–$20 per hour (based on experience)
NO Pay: $15 per hour
Hours: Part-time, 25–35+ hours per week

Schedule: Monday through Friday: Afternoon and evening shifts

Saturday: Morning into early afternoon shifts required

Overview
SafeSplash Swim School is hiring dependable, confident, and organized Swim Instructors; this is an Operations Assistants role to support daily swim school operations. This role combines hands-on swim instruction with leadership responsibilities. You will help keep lessons running smoothly, support instructors, assist families, and serve as the on-site point person during shifts.

This is a step-up role for individuals who want consistent hours, leadership experience, and growth opportunity.

Must know how to swim, especially ALL 4 strokes: Freestyle, Backstroke, BreastStroke, Butterfly.

Key Responsibilities

Swim Instruction & Coverage

• Teach swim lessons as scheduled
• Step in to cover classes when instructors are absent
• Ensure safety and lesson quality standards are followed
• Teach swimmers from infants (4 months) through adults

Staff Support

• Serve as on-site shift lead
• Assist with onboarding and training new instructors
• Support instructors with questions and guidance
• Communicate staffing needs to the owner

Customer Experience

• Greet parents and swimmers
• Assist with customer concerns
• Communicate schedule updates when needed

Operations Support

• Assist with scheduling and attendance tracking
• Report facility or equipment issues
• Help prepare locations for quality assurance visits

Required Qualifications

• Must be capable to swim, especially ALL 4 strokes: Freestyle, Backstroke, BreastStroke, Butterfly.
• Reliable and punctual
• Comfortable leading peers
• Calm under pressure
• Friendly and professional with families
• Willing to learn scheduling and operations systems
• Swim instruction experience preferred (training provided if needed)
• Must be capable of teaching infants through adults (ages 4 months and up)
• Must be willing to obtain Lifeguard and other certifications if requested

(Certification reimbursement available after completion)

Experience

• Prior experience as a swim instructor, lifeguard or in water safety roles is essential
• Background in sports coaching or teaching physical education enhances your ability to motivate learners
• Proven experience working with children or students in educational or recreational settings
• Familiarity with behavior management techniques to handle diverse student needs effectively
• Experience working in health clubs or gyms that offer swimming or aquatic fitness classes is a plus
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently
