What You’ll Need
- Valid Georgia teaching certificate in Special Education: Deaf Education and or eligibility through GaPSC provisional certification with current enrollment in a DHH program
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field from a GaPSC-approved college or university
- Prior teaching experience preferred
- Proficiency in American Sign Language (ASL)
- Strong knowledge of GCPS Academic Knowledge and Skills (AKS), instructional practices, instructional technology, teaching strategies, diagnostic assessment techniques, IDEIA requirements, and differentiated instruction and assessment strategies
- Demonstrated excellence in communication, collaboration, classroom management, and building effective relationships with students, parents, administrators, colleagues, and other stakeholders
