Jr. Application Developer Internship

Are you the person that people always ask to help them figure out technical problems? Built your own website? Maybe have some computer science background but more importantly are comfortable with technology and interested in what it can do for you? Do you have an eye for detail and design, and are you always trying to figure out how things can work better?

This is what we do every day, and we're looking for energetic, creative individuals to train to help us build custom database solutions for our clients. DB Services has a fast paced work environment, and we seek talented employees who crave learning new skills and aren't afraid to tackle big projects. As an intern you will get to work with a variety of our staff, while working on real projects that will help us grow. As a small growing company, our team enjoys a great deal of responsibility, independence, and variety. We work with companies large and small, and we are good at juggling deadlines and priorities to keep a wide portfolio of clients happy.

WHAT YOU WILL LEARN

·     How to develop code using FileMaker, a rapid application development tool (RAD), and other web tools

·     How to work closely with the Business Project Manager and other Developers to design, implement, and maintain systems with a high level of quality

·     How to design screens, write and test code/scripts

·     How to create and maintain internal web portals

·     Relationship building with customers

·     Project management methodologies, tools, and processes

QUALIFICATIONS

·     Able to work full-time or part-time in our Indianapolis office

·     Pursuing B.S./B.A. in a Computer Science related major with a GPA of 3.0 or higher

·     Graduating Senior

·     A passion for technology and how to use it in business to improve efficiencies

·     Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

·     Ability to perform job functions with a minimum of supervision

·     Exhibit signs of creativity and a positive attitude

·     Team player

·     Strong understanding of relational database design

·     Solid programming and problem-solving skills
