Childcare Program Coordinator
The YMCA of Pierce and Kitsap Counties is seeking a Childcare Program Coordinator to join our team!

As the Childcare Program Coordinator, you will be responsible for providing administrative support for Before and After School Programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Receive and direct communications with staff through incoming email, telephone calls, or in person. Respond to inquiries or refer as appropriate.
- Assist in managing coverage schedules to ensure positive program experience.
- Provide administrative assistance, including but not limited to distributing, processing, and filing paperwork, records, reports, memos, correspondence, inventory, and resupply.
- Support efforts to manage the approved budget and curriculum ordering and distribution.
- Maintain an orderly office environment to provide efficient service to staff. This includes filing, retrieval of records and prioritizing of workload.
- Effectively communicate program information and progress as relevant.
- Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with all YMCA staff, school staff and community organizations.
- Assist in the marketing and distribution of program information.
- Provide reports and rosters as necessary.
- Utilize purchase orders to order supplies and inventory as requested.
- Assist in the coordination of department and program events. special projects, training as assigned.

- 2-3 years of directly related experience to include computer skills, office/administrative support, customer service, and school age childcare.
- Must be proficient in MS Office and database entry.
- Knowledge of Salesforce database preferred.

- Demonstrated ability to multi-task, problem-solve and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated professionalism in both attitude and appearance.
- Ability to connect with people of diverse backgrounds.

- The ability to demonstrate a friendly, courteous and professional manner while working with members and staff and the ability to understand, articulate, and enforce YMCA policies and procedures in a positive way.
- Must be able to pass Background and Reference checks.

- Able and willing to complete online Child Abuse Prevention training on first day, and other online and in-person training as required.
Wage: $20.06 to $20.60 per hour, depending on qualifications
Hours: Part-Time, 29 hours per week
Locations: Region 34 - YMCA Before and After School Programs, Tacoma, WA. Offices are located in Lakewood and Bremerton. Travel is a requirement of this position. This position will travel within Pierce and Kitsap Counties.
