Associate Attorney

Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Associate Attorney to join our legal team. Our law office handles Employment Law claims. As an Associate Attorney, you will be responsible for providing legal support and representing clients in various legal matters. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about the law and wants to make a positive impact in the field. Based in California preferred but not a feal breaker however have to be licensed in California.

Duties

  • Conduct comprehensive legal research utilizing tools such as Westlaw to support case strategies and legal opinions.
  • Draft, review, and revise legal documents including pleadings, contracts, memoranda, and correspondence with precision and clarity.
  • Represent clients in court proceedings and negotiations.
  • Prepare cases for litigation by organizing evidence, drafting discovery requests, and coordinating with clients and witnesses.
  • Participate in negotiations, mediations, and settlement discussions.
  • Maintain detailed case files and ensure all documentation complies with firm standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Participate in client meetings to gather information, provide updates, and explain legal options clearly and confidently.
  • Stay current on relevant laws and regulations across multiple jurisdictions.
  • Assist with preparation of trial exhibits and evidence.
  • Manage, organize and implement case files on CLIO.

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school; admission to the state bar is required.
  • Demonstrate experience or strong interest in practice area.
  • Proficiency with legal research platforms including Westlaw
  • Excellent writing skills with the ability to produce clear, concise legal documents under tight deadlines.
  • Strong negotiation skills coupled with the ability to analyze complex legal issues critically.
  • Prior legal administrative experience is advantageous for managing case files efficiently.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with attention to detail; ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a busy environment.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school-
  • Admitted to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction-
  • Prior experience working as an Associate Attorney preferred but not required

Pay: $115,000.00 - $125,000 per year
