Field Lead
Under the supervision of the Senior Field & Outreach Coordinator, the Field Lead will be responsible for implementing phone banking and canvassing events, including preparing turfs and call lists before every shift, facilitating team briefings before and after every shift, and ensuring field reports are submitted daily. At the end of the campaign, the Field Lead will be expected to reconcile all voter contact data with the Senior Field & Outreach Coordinator to ensure accurate and complete reporting of our efforts. The ideal candidate for this position will have experience managing teams and working with diverse teams. Previous campaign or community organizing experience is preferred, but not required.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage a team of paid canvassers to contact and engage voters through phone banking and door-knocking events.
- Prepare turfs and call lists prior to every shift with the Senior Field & Outreach Coordinator to ensure voter contact strategies are aligned with program goals.
- Support canvassing team with meeting their contact goals, troubleshooting emergent issues, and identifying field opportunities or challenges.
- Ensure every canvasser submits a daily end-of-day (EOD) activity report to monitor progress toward field goals.
- Submit a daily EOD report to the Senior Field & Outreach Coordinator, which consists of 1-2 team photos, individual and collective goals.
- Collaborate with LEAD Filipino partner organizations to welcome volunteers during canvassing shifts, including but not limited to leading field training and ensuring all volunteers feel safe and welcome.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be based in San José/Silicon Valley and have reliable transportation to commute to on-site canvassing and phone banking locations.
- Must have previous experience managing a team, preparing schedules and ensuring projects were completed.
- Must have strong time management and organizational skills.
- Must be punctual, accountable, reliable and motivated to work independently and with a team.
- An effective communicator who is comfortable facilitating group discussions and providing guidance and/or troubleshooting issues on the fly.
- A deep commitment to civic participation, voter engagement and working with Filipino and Asian American Pacific Islander (AAPI) communities.
- Previous canvassing or campaign experience is preferred, but not required for this position.
COMPENSATION & OFFERINGS
- $26/hour paid upon successful completion of the program and its goals. Approximately 25 hours per week, Wednesdays-Thursdays, weekends with administrative time and occasional meetings between May 5, 2026 – June 3, 2026.
