Special Education Teacher

Full time, Special Education Teacher Red Lake Falls Schools

Date of Availability: 2026-2027 School Year

Date Closing: Until Filled.

Description: Grades 7 – 12.

Job Summary:

Provide instruction for students who are enrolled in special education programs; deliver direct & indirect special education services to students in a resource room setting; monitor progress on IEP goals & objectives; follow due process and IEP procedures and manage the paperwork; communicate effectively with families & staff; develop and implement Behavior Intervention Plans and Positive Behavior Support Plans. Training for specific needs of the students in the program will be provided by the district.

Qualifications:

Requires MN licensure in Special Education. 

Experience working with a variety of behavioral, emotional, and learning disabilities, and the ability to deliver specialized instruction to meet the individual needs of these students. 

Ability to perform duties with awareness of all district requirements and Board of Education policies. Ability to develop effective working relationships with students, staff and the school community.

Working Conditions:

Classroom, office, lifting, pushing, pulling, standing, sitting, keyboarding, etc.
