Survey Rod Person

JOB SUMMARY

CSA/Morgan & Eklund, Inc. is currently seeking a person who enjoys working outdoors and swimming in the ocean for an entry-level survey rod person position.  The ideal candidate will be in good physical condition, be a strong ocean swimmer and be able to work out of town on a weekly basis.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Assist Party Chief and Instrument Man as instructed
  • Load/unloads all necessary equipment for daily project
  • Be able to drive vehicles and ATV’s 
  • Help maintain equipment
  • Learn to operate basic survey equipment (GPS, total station, level, etc.)
  • Have a good understanding of basic mathematics
  • Measure elevations along dunes, beaches and nearshore
  • Must be able to carry survey rod while swimming
  • Basic computer knowledge
  • Be self-motivated, hardworking, ethical, trustworthy and dependable
  • Have desire to learn to do new things
  • Be able to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Able to pass drug test
  • Proof of Covid-19 Vaccination required

 

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be physically fit and able to perform office and offshore duties
  • Must hold or can achieve a valid US passport-free from status or restrictive conditions which preclude travel and work worldwide
  • Applicants must possess current, long-term authorization to work in the United States
  • Morgan & Eklund, Inc. is unable to initiate visa sponsorship

 

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND QUALIFICATION

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Valid Driver’s License with Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record
  • Good IT skills, with the ability to use Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
