Product Engineer

We are seeking an experienced, motivated, and results driven Product Engineer to elevate our Core Richards business in Cincinnati. This business includes the Jordan Valve, Low Flow, Steriflow, Steriflow Food & Beverage, Marwin, Hex, and Bestobell product lines. This role leads innovation, elevates technical capability, and delivers solutions that move our customers and business forward.

Reporting to the Director of Engineering, the Senior Product Engineer will focus on:

New Product Development:

  • Drive concept to launch execution for next gen control valves, regulators, and sanitary solutions.
  • Lead fast cycle NPD focused on performance, manufacturability, and customer value.

Strategic Engineering Projects:

  • Build and deploy modern digital sizing & selection tools for regulators and control valves.
  • Lead value engineering upgrades to core platforms (e.g., Steriflow J Series, Jordan sliding gates).
  • Develop & upgrade BPE compliant Steriflow sanitary/CIP‑optimized valves.
  • Create automated test rigs to accelerate performance validation and lab throughput.

Technical Leadership & Product Support:

  • Provide advanced product engineering support across all product lines.
  • Develop a structured troubleshooting and knowledge base for Value Stream teams, Inside/ Outside Sales 
  • Elevate engineering standards, design control, and documentation quality.

Lab, Testing & Capability Enhancement:

  • Improve lab assets, data acquisition, and validation processes.
  • Strengthen test repeatability, automation, and reporting.

Industry Engagement:

  • Represent the company in ASME BPE, FCI, ISA and related committees.
  • Bring back insights to influence roadmaps and product strategy.
  • Customer visits to gather insights on developing innovative solutions for value creation

Qualifications Include: 

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering/ Mechatronics. Masters preferred, not required. 
  • 1 to 10 years of valve manufacturing experience (sanitary and industrial applications preferred) 
  • 3 to 5 years of people leadership experience 
  • Proven ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, customers, suppliers, research partners, and regulatory agencies 
  • Experience in gas regulators, control valves, on off, and valve automation a plus 
  • Strong knowledge of ISO, ASME, API standards 
  • Proficiency in FMEA, CAD/CAE
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and drive execution with cross-functional teams on assigned New Product Development projects, and business growth initiatives.
