ESL Instructor

AOI College of Languages is seeking qualified ESL instructors for our summer programs and substitute teaching opportunities.

We are currently hiring for:
1. Summer ESL instructors
2. Substitute ESL instructors
3. A temporary substitute instructor to cover one class for approximately one month

Responsibilities include:
- Teaching English as a Second Language classes to international students
- Preparing and delivering engaging lessons based on AOI’s curriculum and textbooks
- Supporting students’ speaking, listening, reading, writing, grammar, and communication skills
- Taking daily attendance and maintaining accurate class records
- Communicating student progress or classroom concerns to the Academic Director
- Following AOI College policies, academic procedures, and attendance requirements
- Creating a positive, professional, and supportive classroom environment

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- ESL/EFL teaching experience preferred
- TESOL, TEFL, CELTA, or related certification preferred
- Strong communication and classroom management skills
- Ability to work with international students from diverse cultural backgrounds
- Availability during summer 2026 preferred

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience teaching adult ESL students
- Experience with communicative language teaching
- Flexibility to teach short-term, substitute, or summer classes
- Familiarity with student attendance and academic recordkeeping

Schedule:
Classes are typically held Monday through Thursday. Morning and afternoon teaching opportunities may be available depending on program needs.

Compensation:
Hourly rate will be discussed based on qualifications and experience.
