Customer Service Account Manager
Skyhawk is a family-run business that has been selling bulk/industrial chemicals since 1985. Skyhawk is seeking an individual that has a positive attitude, is hard working and likes a challenge, to join the "World's Best Customer Service Team" The ideal candidate will have a sense of immediacy, is skilled in multitasking, and able to tackle each order with acute attention to detail. We are looking for someone who will build relationships with his/her customers and fellow team members and is comfortable using both phone and email for correspondence. This position is an important and demanding job in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
The Account Manager will take orders from customers (by phone or email), place orders with suppliers (for product) and set up transportation (independent carriers) for each transaction. All orders will need good follow-through to ensure delivery is on schedule and completed to the customer's satisfaction. Details are extremely important.
Qualifications and Skills
A continuous learner. (This role has a lot of breadth and every order is different. It will take a long time to build expertise) Grace under pressure. (Skyhawk provides a lot of encouragement, mentoring, and support, but there is a lot of pressure to get the orders right and juggle multiple moving parts) Paralegal or similar experience is a plus. (The prioritization, attention to detail and organizational skillset required of a paralegal is critical to this role) Positivism and Camaraderie. (Building and investing in relationships with suppliers, carriers, customers, salespeople, and your co-workers is core to our business) A 4 year college degree. (We want to see the resilience required to make it through) An independent streak and a collaborative streak (You will need to be an autonomous and confident problem solver who knows when to call for help) A touch of whimsy. (This is a demanding job, but we have a lighthearted vibe – check out the Our Team section of our website) Experience in customer service/legal services, logistics, warehousing, account management or commodity chemicals is a plus. (You’ll need a starting base)
Considerations: During the beginning of training, we ask that you work in the office every day (Monday - Friday). Once your supervisor is comfortable with you working remotely, you will be allowed to work from home Monday, Wednesday, Friday and expected in the office every Tuesday and Thursday.
