Communications & HR Intern
The Communications & HR Intern supports the HR team at Replacements, Ltd. in delivering timely, accurate, and engaging internal communications by assisting with content creation, platform management, employee engagement initiatives, and cross-functional coordination. This internship offers an opportunity to work at the intersection of communications and HR, contributing directly to how Replacements connects with and engages its employees. This role provides hands-on experience in corporate communications and HR operations while developing real-world skills in a fast-paced, people-centered environment.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
1. Assists with drafting, editing, and scheduling internal communications across platforms.
2. Supports the execution of internal communication plans, announcements, and employee updates.
3. Maintains an organized internal communications calendar and content tracker.
4. Drafts short-form written content for employee announcements, culture initiatives, and organizational updates.
5. Proofreads communications to ensure clarity, accuracy, and alignment with company tone, voice, and brand guidelines.
6. Assists with the creation of basic visual assets using approved templates.
7. Conducts periodic content audits to ensure accuracy and relevance.
8. Coordinates with HR, Marketing, Social Impact, and other departments to gather information for internal communications.
9. Provides meeting support, including agendas, notes, and action item tracking.
10. Assists in maintaining organized archives of templates, guidelines, and messaging resources.
11. Assists in collecting and compiling employee engagement metrics and feedback.
12. Helps prepare basic reports summarizing communication performance.
13. Researches internal communications trends and shares insights with the team.
14. Assists with other administrative tasks in other functions of HR.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
• Must have strong written and verbal communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to create clear, engaging content for diverse audiences
• Must be highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic, high-volume environment
• Must have proven ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment and work independently to support HR and company-wide goals
• Must be comfortable engaging and partnering with colleagues and leaders at all levels of the organization
• Must have strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills to support HR operations
• Must show demonstrated ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain strict confidentiality
• Must be flexible and adaptable; able to thrive in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities

Physical Requirements
• Must be able to regularly lift and move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and move up to 25 pounds
• Must be able to occasionally pull, push, and climb a ladder and product cart
• Must be comfortable working in a general office environment, with occasional standing, walking, bending, and stooping required
• Must adhere to all safety regulations to ensure a safe and secure work environment
Education and Other Specialized Skills
• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Communications, Human Resources, Marketing, Journalism, or a related field
• Interest in employee engagement, internal communications, and workplace culture required
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications required
• Experience with employee communications, social media, or intranet content preferred
• Familiarity with Canva, Adobe Express, or basic graphic tools preferred
