Middle School Teacher

DESCRIPTION

Reign Christian Academy is a K-8 classical Christian private school, in its third full school year, with an enrollment of 50 students. As we plan for the 26-27 school year we anticipate opening an additional logic school classroom (7th-8th), and will be hiring a teacher with a passion for these grades.

Hybrid Classical Model

Reign is currently hiring someone to teach a 7-8th grade classroom. There will approximately be 8-12 total students in this class in 2026-2027. Through its hybrid learning model, Reign’s teachers deliver class-wide instruction for half days from 8:00 am to 12:30 pm and in the afternoons teachers provide instruction one-on-one or in small groups to the students who decide to stay (NOTE: students are free to leave at 12:30pm if they and their parents prefer). For students who decide to learn from home in the afternoons, teachers partner with families to provide students with independent learning.

Thus, full-time teachers will deliver whole-class instruction for 18 hours per week, then have additional time to serve students individually or in small groups, prepare lessons, manage instructional duties, participate in professional development, and chaperone community activities. On Fridays, students are offered enrichment opportunities, with Reign faculty, in collaboration with outside instructors. Teachers are able to spend part of the day in lesson prep, staff meeting, professional development, etc.

Previous teaching experience at high quality elementary and secondary schools is valued. Reign is seeking virtuous educators with a high level of integrity, enthusiasm, diligence, and teaching aptitude who feel called to specialize in the noble profession of teaching and forming young hearts, minds, and souls.
