Paralegal – Boutique Law Firm (Century City, CA)
About the Firm:
Our national practice is devoted exclusively to litigation. From our offices in Rockefeller Center, Kansas City, and Los Angeles, we aggressively represent our clients and provide first-rate legal service on a cost-effective basis. The experience of our partners ranges from state and federal court cases, administrative hearings, and arbitrations, to matters before the Supreme Court of the United States and appellate arguments. For the last 30 years, our clients have always included the country's largest banks and broker-dealers, in addition to public and private companies. We have been retained to try matters before federal and state courts and arbitration panels in 38 states.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with attorneys and fellow paralegals to support complex litigation matters
- Handle state and federal court filings, including electronic and in-person submissions in courts
- Maintain and coordinate firm and case calendars
- Organize, maintain, and update case files
- Draft and revise correspondence, pleadings, and legal documents
- Conduct factual and legal research
- Provide administrative support to ensure smooth office operations
- Take primary responsibility for litigation databases
- Handle phone calls, emails, and other communications
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Strong academic background
- Exceptional work ethic and attention to detail
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
- Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive solution-oriented mindset
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively
- Ability to work in-office full-time, including evenings and weekends if needed
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Compensation & Benefits
- $55K per annum for full-time position based on 40 hour week equivalent to $26 per hour
- Discretionary annual bonus
