Lead Preschool Teacher

Job Description:

We are looking for a dedicated Lead Preschool Teacher to guide and support our preschool students in their critical early learning years. The ideal candidate will create a stimulating, safe, and welcoming classroom environment that encourages curiosity and development. This role requires a commitment to professional growth, including obtaining a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential and other necessary qualifications for working in a preschool setting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Curriculum Development: Design and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with early childhood education standards and foster social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
  • Classroom Management: Maintain a nurturing and organized classroom environment that supports positive behavior and encourages active learning.
  • Individualized Learning: Recognize and accommodate the diverse learning needs and abilities of preschool children, providing personalized attention and support.
  • Parental Engagement: Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding their child's progress and any concerns that may arise.
  • Professional Growth: Commit to ongoing professional development, including obtaining a CDA credential and any other required certifications for preschool educators.
  • Collaboration: Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and other staff members to ensure a cohesive and supportive educational environment.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience: Previous experience working with preschool-aged children in an educational setting is strongly preferred.
  • Certification: Willingness to pursue a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential and meet other state-mandated requirements for preschool teachers.
  • Skills: Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Passion for Education: A genuine love for working with young children and a commitment to fostering their development and learning.
  • Adaptability: Ability to adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the varying needs and interests of preschool students.
