Speech Language Pathologist

Position: Speech Language Pathologist – District – Leave Replacement

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

  • ESA Certification - SLP Specialist Certificate for the State of Washington or evidence of eligibility
  • Washington Stace License
  • Experience preferred in delivering speech and language services in a public school setting
  • Experience working as a member of a multidisciplinary team in the planning and implementation of special education services preferred
  • Knowledge of assistive technology, including augmentative communication devices
  • Demonstrated ability to work with students, staff, administrators, and parents
  • Demonstrated interest, commitment, and ability to work with special need students
  • Demonstrated positive interactions with students
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple deadlines and paperwork
  • Successful and recent experience as speech language pathologist with a student-age population preferred
  • Demonstrated skills in working with both regular and special education teaching staff preferred
  • Personal commitment and willingness to advocate for and demonstrate an appreciation for all children and their families 
  • Bilingual Spanish Preferred, but not required

 

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:

Work Year: 2026-27 school year; non-continuing; leave replacement through 6/11/27 

Hours: 7 Hours per day; Monday - Friday

Starting Date: August 26, 2026

FTE: 1.0 

Salary: Per negotiated LEA contract. Pay range for 1.0 FTE is $ 69,031 - $ 136, 249, dependent upon degree, credits, and school district speech language pathologist experience. 

Benefits: This position qualifies for healthcare benefits (medical insurance, vision insurance, dental insurance, life insurance, and disability insurance), retirement benefits, up to 12 days of sick leave, and up to three (3) days of personal leave per school year.  (Days of sick leave and personal leave are prorated based on employee start date.)
