Location: 2245 Foothill Dr, Vista, CA 92084 (In-Person)
Program: Beginner Spanish (Curriculum Provided)
Pay Rate: $25–$35 per hour
Start Date: June 8
Whizara offers student-centered, engaging after-school programs for K–12 learners. We are seeking an energetic and dependable Spanish Instructor to teach a Beginner Spanish class in Vista, CA.
This role is open to a wide range of candidates, including college students, recent graduates, bilingual speakers, heritage speakers, and professionals seeking meaningful part-time work.
What You’ll Do
- Create a positive, safe, and supportive classroom environment
- Teach Beginner Spanish using the structured curriculum provided
- Introduce essential vocabulary, pronunciation, basic grammar, and simple conversation
- Motivate and guide students to meet learning goals
- Observe student progress and adapt support as needed
- Maintain clear communication with school staff, parents, and Whizara
- Keep the classroom organized and conducive to learning
- Work independently and take initiative with classroom management
- Communicate with the team via email and phone as needed
Requirements
- Proficiency in Spanish (native, heritage, or fluent speakers preferred; strong intermediate speakers welcome)
- Ability to confidently teach Spanish to K–12 students
- Prior teaching or tutoring experience is a plus but not required
- Patient, friendly, and professional demeanor
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Ability to work safely and respectfully with children
