Carl Connection: User Experience Designer / Product Manager Internship at The Mongolia Society

This opportunity is brought to Carls by a Carleton alum, Bat-Orgil Batjargal ’21. You are welcome to reach out to Bata (batorgil.batjargal.mgl@gmail.com) with any questions you have about the position or organization.

The Mongolia Society, founded in 1961, is a private, non-profit organization dedicated to the study of Mongolian history, language, and culture. We are seeking an intern to lead our website migration from Squarespace to Shopify and define our digital transformation strategy for the evolving AI landscape.

Please note the following details regarding the position:

  • Role: User Experience Designer / Product Manager
  • Nature: Unpaid (Non-profit/NGO)
  • Supervision: The intern will be managed by me and a Professor of Music from California State University.
  • Key Responsibilities: UI design and product strategy for our publishing house’s digital transition.
  • Desired Skills: Experience in UI, computer science, and storytelling.
  • Timeline: 10 weeks (mid-June to late August)

No prior experience is needed; just an interest in Asian Studies and International Relations is a plus.

Note: There might be a chance to present the new UI to Ambassador Michael S. Klecheski at the end of the program.

To apply, send your resume to Bata at batorgil.batjargal.mgl@gmail.com.

If you will be returning to campus and enrolled in classes in the fall, you are encouraged to apply for summer internship funding from Carleton as long as the internship is a minimum of 6 weeks in length and 240 project hours.
