Marketing Intern

Position Overview

The Marketing Intern will play a key role in supporting the sales department in the marketing and communications efforts of NOLA Education. This individual will gain hands-on experience in digital marketing, branding, content creation, and campaign execution while contributing to meaningful educational initiatives.

This is an ideal opportunity for a motivated, creative, and detail-oriented individual looking to build real-world marketing experience in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

 

Key Responsibilities

1. Content Creation & Digital Marketing

  • Assist in developing and scheduling content for social media platforms (LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, etc.)
  • Create engaging posts, graphics, and short-form videos aligned with brand messaging
  • Support blog writing, email newsletters, and website content updates
  • Help maintain a consistent brand voice across all channels

2. Campaign Support

  • Assist in planning and executing marketing campaigns for programs, events, and initiatives
  • Support lead generation efforts for sales and program teams
  • Track campaign performance and provide basic reporting insights

3. Market Research & Competitive Analysis

  • Conduct research on education trends, competitors, and target markets
  • Identify opportunities for growth in K-12 and at-risk youth education sectors
  • Assist in building buyer personas (e.g., superintendents, program directors)

4. Event & Promotion Support

  • Assist in promoting webinars, training sessions, and live events
  • Help coordinate marketing materials for events (flyers, email invites, social posts)
  • Support post-event follow-up campaigns

5. Branding & Collateral Development

Assist in creating marketing materials such as:

  • One-pagers
  • Sales decks
  • Case studies
  • Flyers and brochures
  • Ensure all materials align with brand guidelines

 

Qualifications

Required

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Basic understanding of social media platforms and digital marketing
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace

 

Preferred

  • Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar design tools
  • Familiarity with CRM platforms (Odoo, Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.)
  • Basic knowledge of email marketing tools (Mailchimp, Constant Contact, etc.)
  • Interest in education, EdTech, or nonprofit sectors

Compensation

  • Paid hourly - 10 hours per week (based on program/academic requirements)
  • Academic credit may be available
