Contract Finished Goods Formulations Technician

About the opportunity

In this contract role at QIAGEN, you contribute directly to the production of high‑quality molecular diagnostic products. As a Finished Goods Formulation Technician I, you support the Finished Goods team by formulating stock solutions, enzyme dilutions, and PCR master mixes while following standardized, quality‑driven processes. Your work helps ensure repeatable product quality and on‑time delivery in a regulated manufacturing environment.

Your tasks include

Execute formulation processes in line with approved work instructions, including chemical material handling and line clearance.

Measure and prepare materials accurately by mass and volume using formulation and testing equipment such as balances, overhead mixers, and Nanodrop systems.

Thaw, handle, and process enzymes, oligos, light‑sensitive materials, and perform oligo annealing.

Document all production activities in compliance with Good Documentation Practices (GDP).

Perform SAP transactions, including order confirmations.

Ensure compliance with ISO Quality, EHS standards, and QIAGEN’s Quality System.

Support the Finished Goods Fill/Pack team and contribute to a collaborative, problem‑solving team culture.

Your profile

You hold a Bachelor of Science degree and bring at least one year of relevant industry experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

You demonstrate a basic understanding of ISO Quality Systems and Lean Manufacturing principles.

You work with a high level of attention to detail in a regulated production environment.

You communicate clearly and effectively within a cross‑functional team.

You show reliability, accountability, and a willingness to learn and grow through feedback and goal setting.

 

The typical pay rate for this role is $21-$24/hour. This temporary and/or contract position is not eligible for QIAGEN’s company benefits. The position includes only those benefits mandated by applicable state and federal law, if any, which are provided by the agency employer.
