Special Education Teacher

The School District of Baraboo is seeking candidates for a Special Education Teacher for the elementary alternative education program (The NEST) at Jack Young Middle School for the 2026-2027 school year. Approximate start date is August 18, 2026. Ideal candidates will be able to successfully collaborate and effectively build relationships with students, parents and staff. Qualifications:  Candidates should possess a Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction certification (#1088, #1777) or other appropriate licensure. Experience with diverse student populations is preferred. The successful candidate will display strong leadership skills, develop and deliver relevant and high quality instruction, utilize exemplary classroom management skills, demonstrate excellent oral and written communication abilities, have experience and knowledge of best practices and strong interpersonal skills.  In addition, the candidate must display strong organizational skills, have a working knowledge of the tenets of a professional learning community, and demonstrate capacity to build business-education partnerships in the community. Desired: Full time or Student Teaching Experience in Elementary.
