ABOUT OUR WORK SETTINGS

APT/AP is unique — we offer three pediatric settings under one organization:
Outpatient Clinic
Early Intervention / Home Therapy
Public School Districts (serving GA for 21+ years and contracting across the U.S.)

We take pride in our highly collaborative, multidisciplinary team of therapists who work seamlessly across settings.

SPEECH-LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST — Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders
  • Provide individualized treatment across clinic, school, home, or teletherapy settings
  • Develop comprehensive treatment plans
  • Educate families
  • Collaborate with OTs, PTs, schools, and other professionals
  • Reassess progress and modify goals as needed
  • Participate in interdisciplinary care

OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST — Responsibilities

  • Provide therapy to help children build independence and functional daily-living skills
  • Support development of fine motor, sensory-motor, and visual-motor skills
  • Observe children holistically to identify delays and root causes
  • Document progress, goals, and recommendations
  • Work with students with varied disabilities in engaging, play-based environments
  • Recommend activity modifications, exercise programs, and routines

PHYSICAL THERAPIST — Responsibilities

  • Evaluate children’s movement challenges using physical exams and family interviews
  • Create individualized treatment plans
  • Improve mobility, reduce pain, and increase functional strength
  • Monitor progress and adjust treatments
  • Provide consultation to schools/daycares
  • Educate families on safety and home exercises
