First Grade Teacher 2026-2027

City Tree Christian School is a wonderful community of teachers, staff, and families working together to educate our children in a loving Christian environment. We are a ministry of First Presbyterian Church committed to integrating educational excellence with the Bible-based teachings of Jesus Christ. We are an ethnically and socio-economically diverse school located in downtown San Diego. About 200 students attend our school-age infants through eighth grade. Our school is a member of the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) and accredited by the Western Association of Schools and Colleges.

Full-time teacher, responsible for teaching all subject areas to a group of approximately 12-20 students in a self-contained classroom. We desire a dependable, mature, and responsible person who is able to integrate their love for Christ with their teaching. We especially desire applicants interested in upper elementary. Exact grade level placement will depend on abilities and experience. Our elementary school operates on a traditional school year calendar (late August - mid June).

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and teaching credential required. Experience with children essential.

Salary range $48,000-$58,000, depending on education and experience. Full-time position with benefits. Position begins August 10, 2026.
