Overview
Uplift Solutions is seeking a highly motivated intern to work directly with the Executive Director on workforce development strategy, program execution, and organizational operations.
This role offers exposure to how workforce programs for justice-impacted individuals are designed, implemented, and scaled The intern will engage across multiple workstreams, including employer engagement, program design, data systems, and external partnerships.
This is not a narrow or administrative role. It is designed for someone who wants to understand how an organization operates end-to-end and is willing to contribute across strategy and execution.
What You Will Work On
The intern will support the Executive Director across four core areas:
1. Workforce Strategy & Program Design
- Support development and refinement of workforce programs
- Help structure program progression
- Contribute to materials that define program models and participant pathways
2. Employer Engagement & Partnerships
- Assist in organizing and analyzing employer network data
- Support outreach strategies to expand employer partnerships
- Help prepare materials for employer conversations and relationship management
3. Operations & Systems
- Help improve internal systems (tracking, documentation, workflows)
- Support development of tools for program coordination and reporting
- Assist in organizing program materials and ensuring accessibility across the team
4. Strategy, Writing, and External Work
- Support development of grant materials, program narratives, and summaries
- Assist in preparing presentations and external-facing documents
- Contribute to special projects related to partnerships, funding, and expansion
5. Communications, Systems, and Digital Infrastructure
- Support social media planning and execution to increase awareness of Uplift’s programs, employer partners, and participant outcomes
- Assist in drafting and organizing a regular communications newsletter to share updates with partners, funders, and stakeholders
- Help evaluate and improve the use of digital tools and apps that support program delivery, communication, and participant tracking
- Contribute to the organization and strategic use of SharePoint, including page structure, document management, and team workflows
- Identify opportunities to streamline communication and information flow across staff, partners, and programs
- Support development of simple systems that make program data, materials, and updates easier to access and use

Compensation
This is a paid internship. For students whose universities allow it, the internship may be eligible for academic or course credit. Uplift Solutions is happy to support any required documentation.
