About NORPAC:

From its world-class manufacturing facility in Longview WA., NORPAC delivers a broad range of high-quality papers to customers across the United States and around the world. NORPAC makes high-quality and environmentally conscious packaging paper, copy paper, and printing paper grades.

NORPAC is a team-based work environment where individuals integrate safety, teamwork, innovation, and citizenship as core values in pursuit of world class performance while leading a principle based, process disciplined organization.

Student Summer Internship Program:

Come gain valuable experience this summer by joining NORPACs Summer Internship Program! Students are invited to fill in critical roles within the organization to ensure smooth operations of the mill over the summer. Students will have a chance to learn skills in manufacturing, operations, maintenance, and administrative support. As such, NORPAC requires students to be safety-focused, team players, quick learners, motivated, able to complete hands-on production work, and able to perform duties in a manufacturing setting. Applications must be submitted two weeks prior to the internship to be considered for the role.

To Qualify, You Must:

  • Age: Be at least 18 years old.

  • Enrollment: Be enrolled in a college for fall 2026 full-time (at least 12 credits per term/semester on average). Proof of enrollment in a degree or certification program will be required.

  • Grades: Be earning satisfactory grades (minimum 5 cumulative GPA) in courses. An official, sealed copy of the student's most recent OFFICIAL TRANSCRIPT (not grade report) MUST be included with the application.

  • Performance: Be eligible for rehire if previously employed in the program. Failure to satisfactorily perform the job by meeting the overall job requirements will jeopardize future employment.

  • Testing: Be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen, pre-employment background check and post-employment physical before the first day of work.

  • Training: Be available to attend a Summer Student Orientation, (if new to the program).

  • Availability: Be available to work all of their summer period during the months of June, July, August and September, and be available for at least 75 days.

* There is a limit on the number of years a student is eligible to work under the program. A student attending a community college for two years (such as LCC) is eligible for two years of summer employment, unless they are continuing on to a four-year school. A student going to a four-year school (such as University of Oregon) cannot work more than four summers. (In extenuating circumstances, students' applications will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis).

Schedule:

NORPAC has 8-hour day shift and rotating 12-hour shift positions available. Positions will be assigned based on experience and business needs.

Compensation:

The Summer Student Internship Program is a paid internship with a pay range of $23.39 - $23.99 per hour, depending on experience and shift assignment.
