Worship Minister

Position Summary

The Worship Minister plans, leads, and oversees all worship at First Baptist Church Of McAlester, working with the Ministerial Staff to strengthen church ministries. They should be committed to biblically grounded worship and dedicated to developing worshipers of all ages through discipleship and music training.

Ministerial Responsibilities

• Plan and lead all worship services in collaboration with the Lead Pastor

• Oversee all aspects of the worship ministry, including music and service flow

• Schedule and lead musicians and vocalists

• Lead weekly rehearsals

• Select biblically sound, theologically appropriate music

• Provide creative direction for engaging worship experiences

• Recruit, train, and disciple worship team members

• Develop future leaders within the worship ministry

• Serve under the leadership of the Lead Pastor

• Assist with special services and church-wide events

• Maintain a growing walk with Christ through prayer, Bible study, and

stewardship

• Model Christ-like character and leadership

• Demonstrate a teachable spirit-

Qualifications

• Clear calling to worship ministry

• Strong theology of worship

• Skilled musician with contemporary worship experience

• Proven leadership ability

• A team player

• College and seminary degrees are preferred
