Optometric technician/Front desk assistant

Eyecare of Austin is a small optometry practice in Austin, TX 78723. We are supportive, inclusive, very friendly and moderate to fast-paced. 

Our ideal candidate:

-Graduating or recently graduated student who has availability 3-4 full weekdays (9:30AM -5:30PM) and some Saturdays both in the summer and throughout the year.

-Fast learner proficient in computer skills

-Very organized, self driven and resourceful

-Personable, likes working with people

-Excellent phone/communication skills

Job Description:

-Answering phones/scheduling patients/multitasking

-Checking patients in/out

-Verifying insurances/submitting claims

-Preliminary testing

-Ordering contact lenses

-Keeping work areas clean/neat/organized

We are looking for Part time front desk assistant and optometric technician who has great communication skills and is a quick learner. Experience is a plus, but willing to train the right person. Salary based on experience ($18-$22/hr). Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred but not necessary .
