Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable K–8 Special Education Teacher to join our team. This educator will provide targeted support to a small group of students with diverse learning needs, ensuring access to grade-level curriculum while delivering individualized interventions in both literacy and mathematics. The ideal candidate is passionate about helping students build confidence, independence, and academic skills in a supportive and structured environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide individualized instruction in reading, writing, and mathematics
• Develop and implement targeted intervention plans based on student needs and assessment data
• Collaborate closely with classroom teachers to align instruction and support student success within the general education setting
• Monitor student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
• Communicate regularly with parents, teachers, and administrators regarding student growth and goals
• Support the development and implementation of accommodations and modifications
• Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment that promotes student confidence and engagement

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field (Master’s degree preferred)
• Valid teaching certification in Special Education (K–8 or equivalent)
• Experience working with elementary and/or middle school students with diverse learning needs
• Strong knowledge of evidence-based intervention strategies in literacy and mathematics
• Excellent communication, organizational, and collaboration skills
• Commitment to maintaining high expectations while supporting individual student growth
