About the Facility

Memorial Hospital of Converse County is a 25-bed Critical Access Hospital in Douglas, Wyoming serving approximately 5,500 ED visits and 250 deliveries annually. Active surgical specialties include OB/GYN, Orthopedics, Spine, GI, Neurosurgery, ENT, Podiatry, Ophthalmology, Pain Management, Bariatrics, and General Surgery. Average daily census is approximately 10. Trauma Level III.

Nearest airports: Casper (1 hour), Denver (3.5 hours).

This assignment also covers Summit Medical Center (SMC), a 16-bed surgical and specialty hospital in Casper, Wyoming (45 minutes from MHCC), currently adding an Emergency Department. Specialties include Orthopedics, Spine, GI, Neurosurgery, GYN, ENT, Urology, Robotics, and General Surgery.

Position Overview

SMH Innovations LLC is recruiting a CRNA for locum tenens coverage beginning May 18, 2026. This is a full-scope anesthesia role supporting a busy critical access hospital with a broad surgical case mix including obstetrics, neurosurgery, and spine.

Required Skills

The following skills are required for this assignment:

  • General Anesthesia (Adult and Pediatric)
  • Epidural and Spinal Anesthesia
  • Epidural Steroid Injections (Lumbar and Cervical)
  • Post-op Epidural Management
  • Neurosurgery, Spine, and Obstetrics Cases
  • Invasive Ventilation Management (ETT/Tracheostomy/NT)
  • Non-Invasive Ventilation Management (BiPAP/CPAP)
  • Bronchoscopy
  • Temporary Transvenous Pacemaker Placement
  • Transforaminal Cases (Lumbar and Cervical)
  • Fluoroscopy-Guided Nerve Blocks

The following skills are preferred but not required:

  • Post-op Extremity Blocks
  • Orthopedic Cases

Licensing & Certifications

  • Active Wyoming State License or IMLC eligibility required
  • ACLS required if requesting conscious sedation privileges
  • PALS (AHA-issued) required

Additional Requirements

Candidates must be willing to enter hours in the Vemsta platform for timekeeping.
